Our maritime test platform was nominated by the jury of the Blue Innovation Awards 2020 in the Blue Innovation Captain category, for 'government initiatives'.
These awards, initiated by the Blue Cluster, want to highlight innovative projects, products and services of companies and government organisations in the blue economy.
The jury used following criteria to assess the candidates:
the innovative character;
the market potential;
industrial appearance;
link to the blue economy;
coping with the United Nations sustainable development goals.
It took the jury two days to assess the 20 entries.
"When we screened the candidates for this first edition, we found that they were of high quality. After careful consideration, we selected two candidates for each category."
The selected entries per category will be presented during the Global Sustainable Technology and Innovation Community conference (G-STIC) in Brussels on Tuesday 27 October 2020. The winner will then be announced.
The Blue Cluster aims to achieve sustainable blue growth in Flanders, by focussing on three pillars: networking, innovation and strategy. Read more on their website.
